![]() Offering you a unique crossbow build that is not seen much in the gameĪlmost all of the buff you’ll need is given passively, thus making the rotation easy But this specific build earns its spot in this list due to its uniqueness in the MMO, one that I’d like to see more as the game progresses. Just a heads up, the reason why there aren’t that many crossbows builds is due to the existence of better and more practical builds out there. Hack The Minotaur offers one of the only crossbows builds in the game with his stamina necro crossbow build. This build is a unique take on the bow fantasy of the game. I do still equip them from time to time on my stam toons when I'm just doing world bosses or what have you.One of the only crossbow builds out there so i only played around with them, at least seriously, for a little while before i stopped using them in end game content. i think it was morrowind but i could be wrong. Unfortunately i had only received my first set of vma dw about a week before the patch that practically phased them out of widespread play because flurry couldn't be sustained anymore. i'm sure someone who played with these back when they (the vma dw weapons i mean, lol) were in their prime can chime in though. there's nothing in the tooltip description that suggests it is DW only but you never know. Like a dk's venomous claw/burning embers for instance. ![]() like you though, i'm not entirely sure if it means absolutely any single target damage over time skill though or just the dual wield ones. Well, i know that lacerate (and its morphs) and rending slashes/blood craze work with it. Before they broke with poison injection there was a guy who had a sustained 40k parse on stamDK with them post morrowind though, so I suppose anything is possible. You could try to make it work without poison injection or an axe, I guess, but even then you just kinda run into sustain issues. It used to be that the axe bleed from twin blade and blunt could benefit from the bonus damage but didn't consume the buff as you didn't actively cast the bleed, but now it does, getting in the way of you buffing your abilities. You could try using them without poison injection (it's actually not THAT great an ability until execute anyway), but some other things get in the way too. You also can't really buff poison injection, as each time it consumes the buff it only gets the bonus damage on that tick. A couple patches ago ZOS redesigned how poison injection calculates damage, and now EVERY tick of poison injection will consume the maelstrom DW buff, meaning you can't consistently buff any other ability as poison injection will keep stealing the buff. Unfortunately the reason nobody uses them is cause they're pretty broken right now. ![]() rending slashes), as well as any aoe that subsequently applies a DoT to all enemies hit. As others have said it's any single target ability with a DoT component (i.e. If you turn on damage numbers, "single target damage over time ability" essentially means anything that pops up with little orange numbers instead of large white ones.
